It was sort of a brisk, cold night out and I was running through Times Square like a crazy person, but grrr, of course, I was late. Jet was going on at 8pm! Since when did Jet become an opening act? I know what you’re thinking. Jet and Papa Roach? |
| What a strange combo. They were being listed on the bill as “co-headliners”. But 8pm does not say headliner to me! And I was having such a good hair night. This is going to ruin everything. Hmmf! Finally, I arrived at the venue, a little disheveled and a little pissed off, having missed the beginning of the show! |
However, I showed up just in time to catch them perform “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” & the song clearly (and previously established) written about me, “She’s a Genius”. Salute to you to Nic Cester! Enjoy the video! 😉

 Thank God for Kristin who was on time! She took these amazing shots of the boys! Ooh hey, and it looks like they got haircuts. I must admit I like Cam’s hair longer. But Chris looks adorable. Mark and Nic look very handsome as well. What? So! Who said that? |
| Well, I may, or may not have a thing for drummer’s who sing. I told you I was a geek. I’m impressed by multitasking. Umm and it’s a cute look. I’m just sayin. 😀 Oh, ok, you don’t care about their hair? Ok ok the music. Yes, yes… let’s not forget about the music! What do you want to know? Of course they killed every song!

| Look at Nic Howl! It’s so primal! And come to think of it, it looks like they are drinking. Wow more multitasking! Dreamy. A fine group of Australian gentlemen indeed. 🙂 But seriously, this band is phenomenal live! They give it 150% every time! It’s ridiculous for them to open for or “co-headline” with anyone. Especially when that means they only play barely an hour long set. I don’t think they even played “Cold Hard Bitch”. It was criminal! And over way too soon. [sniff sniff] :-(. |
| It’s not that I don’t like Papa Roach. I happen to like Papa Roach very much. Their music kicks lots of a$$ all over the place! But the genre’s are kind of different. Which is why I don’t understand the line-up in the first place. I also wouldn’t exactly classify them as dreamy, nor do I think they would want me to. |

| But they also give it their all and than some! Look at the sweat and the spitting. Not to mention the swinging hair and the long fancy guitar solo’s! It’s all very bad ass. And Lots of fun! This entire night had me worn out to say the least. Did you see them play “Life Line” up above? What did I tell ya? Super fun! The crowd was loving it, singing along on the top of their lungs. A Papa Roach show is a sight to see. 😀 |

When it was over we went by the backstage area. How hard could it be to get in? We just wanted to say hi to our friends Jet. After all we had press passes. But we were denied. Not to mention we witnessed a few friends of mine, one of which is also a well known rock star from another band who was being denied as well for not having the right pass. Me: “Don’t you know who he is?” I said. Nazi door man: “I don’t care who he is, he doesn’t have a pass”. Gosh, he even acted as if he didn’t know who I was! The nerve! The outrage! ha ha. Eventually, said rock star had enough of this injustice and decided to leave. On their way out his friends with the right passes gave them to me and Kristin. Sweet! Yoohoo Jet are you back here? Boo, after all that, no sign of Jet! It seems they slipped out right after their set. 🙁 Le sigh, that’s me sighing in french.. now I’ll never get to tell them what I thought of their haircuts umm er performance. |
