Help Buckcherry Save Aidan Seeger! “Aidan Has A Posse” – A Benefit Concert
When I read the heart-breaking story about Bobby and Elisa Seeger’s little boy Aidan a few days ago, I cried. Aidan is a sweet, adorable, 7 year old boy with huge blue eyes; he is described by family & friends as having a contagious smile and being full of personality and laughter.
Aidan was recently diagnosed with ALD (adrenoleukodystrophy), a rare, genetic, and rapid moving brain disorder that destroys nerve cells. As it progresses, this life threatening disease presents many debilitating symptoms, and can lead to death within a few years. As you would imagine, they are very devastated. But they don’t need my tears or yours. With a campaign already underway dubbed “Aidan has a Posse”; this family is not ready to give up. Aidan is in a fight for his life and he needs our help now!
A doctor at the University of Minnesota has agreed to do an experimental treatment that would include chemotherapy, radiation and hopefully a bone-marrow transplant. The Seeger’s are hoping and praying for a match for Aidan. To find out if you are a match, please go to www.marrow.org and look for a drive or center near you. You can also request a mail-in kit, which is a painless cheek swab exam.
As you can imagine, Aidan’s treatments are quite expensive.
Long time family friends, Rock band Buckcherry, quickly put together a Benefit Concert in Aidan’s back yard, Brooklyn, New York, to raise both awareness and financial support for the upcoming battle Aidan will be facing.
The night will be hosted by comedian Jim Florentine and will also include a silent auction with works from famed street artists Shepard Fairey, Ewok, DickChicken, and motorcycles from Indian Larry among others.
The intimate event will be held at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (Brooklyn), New York, on August 11, 2011.
VIP tickets are $150 and include meet-and-greets with BUCKCHERRY & friends along with priority seating.
Regular tickets are available for $25.

Well, now is your chance to do just that; to make a difference and to possibly save this little boys life. We have hope & believe there is a match out there for Aidan, please join his posse and help us find out if it’s you!

As soon as I heard about this I knew I had to be there. Josh, Keith, Xavier, Jimmy and Stevie are an amazing band, but as people they are truly genuine sweet, and a class act. I needed to be a part of this to show my support for them and there efforts, and as a parent my support for Aidan and his family. I saw Buckcherry on Saturday in N.H. at the show and they discussed this show and how important this cause is. To quote Xavier,” we felt we needed to do everything humanly possible to help.” My prayers and thoughts are with Aidan, his family and all of his friends. I have hope and believe in prayer. There may be someone among all of us attending who might be a compatible donor. Stay strong, keep the faith and feel the power of our prayers surrounding all of you during this time.
Thank you Nancy, the power of prayer is indeed amazing. I am sure Buckcherry & lil Aidan’s family appreciate your support & well wishes. Keep passing the links around to raise awareness and urge people to either buy a ticket, get tested or donate what they can. Blessings.
Once I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any means you’ll be able to take away me from that service? Thanks!
