SAFETYSUIT Revisited / Collective Soul Rawks
I almost didn’t write this blog. I was going away in a few days and really needed to pack. But when given the opportunity to catch up with the boys from SAFETYSUIT, how could I resist? This band deserves so many kudos I just had to give them their due. 
Not to mention that when I walked in, I was greeted with hugs, kisses and compliments. So sweet, they were definitely raised right. I may have even gotten a “Ya look good” out of Jeremy. 
 Hanging out at sound-check watchin the boys make magic! It was so nice to see them again. Doug calling my name from the stage “To-neeee”. Aww I can feel the love. Thanks Buddy! I felt like a SAFETYSUIT cheerleader on the bleachers. |

These guys might be young new artists but their live performance is comparable to watching seasoned veterans. Front man Doug Brown has the charisma and energy of a young Jon Bon Jovi. It’s evident when they are up there playing their hearts out that this band truly love what they do. The passion that goes into each performance is clear. Of course as usual they killed it on stage. It’s no wonder that all the girls were swooning in their boots. But don’t get me wrong.. they are guy friendly. |

| So after the show we took some photos, chatted and joked around a bit. I was ready to take off for the night (packing). But the guys said No-way! You have to stay for Collective Soul! We grew up on them! They felt lucky to be on tour with them. “Trust us”, they said.

| Well I had no idea! Turns out I knew all the songs and I even found myself singing along! (Shine, Better Now, All That I know) The crowd was happy go lucky and so was the band.. it was a serious good time had by all! I forgot all about packing and hung out until the very end of the show… The video is them rocking out to Shine.. c’mon, you know it, sing along! it’s fun!

The sound on that Collective Soul video is great. I’m surprised it wasn’t all muffled being that close to the action. Is that taken with your SD1000?
