Sunday night in NYC is always a good time..  I was still on a bit of a high from Friday nights escapade.. except tonight was even better! Why, you ask? As you can see, I was having an awesome hair day! I mean look at it.. The bounce.. the volume.. the shine.. I had.. dare I say? Playmate hair!

So ofcourse I was running late as usual.. I was driving to the lot, hopping on the train then taking a cab to the venue.. hmm turns out I’m just blocks away from the Meat Packing district, at a lil place called Highline Ballroom.. this could prove quite interesting.. So I show up and I happen to just miss the boys in Safetysuit.. too bad, I wanted to say hi to my new friends.. ok so I meet up with Kristin who is holding the Fort down in the front row and making friends.. sweet, I squeeze right in..

So RED is about to go on and I’m kinda stoked.. I’ve grown to really like this band over the last few days.. the music sorta rocks and their performance is incomparable to anyone I have seen in a long time!

At first I wasn’t sure I would like them.. but then, they wowed the pants off of me! Not literally.. get your minds out of the gutter.. sheesh! anyway it turns out I have an aversion to full beards.. possibly a phobia since childhood?  I do much better with scruff.. Well it’s safe to say that I quickly got over it! Check them out tearing it up with Breathe Into Me! Oh and with a surprise ending.. xoxo boys…

The energy.. the tandem twirling guitars.. the bouncing all over the place.. it’s all so Bad Ass and Fun!! Not to mention the guitarist looks like a tough Jason Quartermaine from General hospital.. ok sorry.. that was for the ladies..

Look at all the fun we were having!! And would ya look at the cheek bones on these two… adorable.. and the one on the right her hair is oh so flowy! Puddle of Mudd is up next. The place is starting to fill up and the crowd is becoming less forgiving.. uh oh Toni I smell trouble.. Can’t we all just get along?

ok so I don’t really know these guys very well.. but for some reason I have a fondness for them.. maybe its due to the fact of how I met them once randomly on the street in the city one day.. which peeked my interest which lead to the Pt. Pleasant show.. where ultimately the concept for Ton’s Night Out was born the next day on the beach.. So.. Thanks Puddle of Mudd.

ok enough nostalgia.. so far so good no troubles in sight.. I’m minding my own business really enjoying Away From Me when… oh no! Kristin, noooooo… my camera was knocked out of my hands (unintentionally) and sent flying through the air while recording.. it proceeds to smack the girl behind me in the forehead! oooopsie! & OMG I was also able to catch it safely and continue.. well I apologized profusely to the girl, who seemed annoyed yet understanding about the accident.. she accepted, but her boyfriend didn’t.. he went on to call me some pretty nasty names.. sigh, I decided to keep my mouth shut and pretend I couldn’t hear him… la la la la I can’t hear you! Besides it’s not my fault my hair was bouncier then his girlfriends..

So the show is coming to an end.. sadness.. but in these intimate bar like settings the bands pack up and mingle with their fans.. how cool is that..
so I decide to be hospitable and invite the guys out to a nearby hotspot.. where me and Kristin were heading..  after all they were in my town & it was the least I could do.. oh, your too tired? your gonna call it a night? ok it’s cool.. Off we go to continue “Toni’s Night out”..

So the place was down the street.. kiss kiss on both sides of the cheek to my doorman friends and in we go.. we head to the bar and grab a drink.. then I see a guy in a furry coat walk by.. was that Matador? nah.. Then in walks the man the myth the legend.. um er reality star and super adorable hottie, Mystery from VH1′s The PickUp Artist.. I was like “Hey what are you doing here?” hee hee at first Kristin thought he was just some really tall friend of mine.. He had a bit of an entourage with him.. so I thought maybe they were filming for The PickUp Artist Season 3 perhaps? What’s that Matador? You just made out with 2 women at the same time over there on that couch? ok thanks for sharing.. am i on camera? ooh ooh get my good side would ya? I watched as Mystery expertly opened multiple sets.. & I was intrigued as women flocked to him..
The night continued with some Kino escalation and flirty banter.. It was a treat to experience him in action first hand.. He is also quite the magician and indeed a charmer.. but alas it was time for me to exhibit some DHV (demonstration of higher value) and head home..
