Metallica! F*C* Yeah!
Ok I will admit it… growing up I was not a huge fan. I was a girly girl of sorts. And umm most young girls like pretty boys. And lets face it Metallica has always prided themselves on being anything but.

But that’s not to say it wasn’t obvious that they rocked and that I couldn’t appreciate the music. It was just the crowd I ran with and not choosing to see them live in their heyday. So yes, I was a Metallica virgin before this show.. So I know what your thinking.. Toni were you what was called a poser back in the day? Now now people it’s not all black and white! yes yes it may be true that I am a card carrying, stage jumping, my love is like bad medicine Bon Jovi fan.. |
| However I have seen the inside of places like Lamour East while the likes of Slayer, Exodus and Megadeath played.. and just because I hid in the bathroom through alot of that should not be held against me.. cause anyway I was just a kid.. O:-D
So enough about then.. This is now!
Anyway, when my friend, the infamous DJ/ producer extraordinaire Rob Gee invited me to come hang with his friends and see the show.. it was one of those weekends I was feeling sorta blah.. but Rob is that friend that always knows how to make me laugh exactly when I need to laugh.. so how could I resist. |

Turns out his bff is Shavo Odadjian from System of a down… along with his gorgeous fiance Sonia and their friend Gigi.. sweetest group you could meet.. warm and welcoming like family.  |

| So off to the show we go.. oops Shavo forgot his ID.. how will we pick up the tickets? No worries let Rob Gee do the talking.. We are on the bands list.. we swear it! You can google him to prove it.. wow.. that totally worked! sweet!
So we get escorted through the backstage landing us smack in front of the band just before they run on stage to start the show! Shavo and Lars embrace aw.. Super sweet! We were at the Prudential Center in Newark.. which is a huge arena.. now get this.. their stage took up the entire floor! with the fans all around them.. And to top it off the band was rotating through out the night so that the entire place had a great view of their performace.. with Lars Ulrich the drummer stationed in the center.. |

| Be impressed be very impressed.. I was! With all the excitement I was sorta having a Wayne’s World moment.. I’m not worthy.. lol
It’s no wonder that this band has had staying power all these years! A-maze-ing live show! So yeah I’m a girly girl.. but I knew all the songs and all the words to the songs (the old stuff at least) and I know all of their names.. James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, and um the bass player.. Robert Trujillo.. ok ok I looked his name up.. But 3 outta 4 aint bad for a girly girl!

Toni you rock!!! I guess you learned a thing or 2 from all of the concerts you went to as a child of the 80′s. This blog is AWESOME, give us more!!! Funny & hot, what more could a band ask for. Bands need to get in line for Toni’s Night Out if they know what’s good for them.
