Jon Bon Jovi Builds Bridges of Peace
“The ‘Power Of Music’ is so great that it can move people to new ways of thinking. We wish to reach the souls of people through music. The artists are the ones to reach them and open their hearts; we are just the ones to put them all together for a unified purpose of love, peace and kind works of charity.”
Wow! What an amazing quote! I bet you’re wondering who said that, right?
Was it John Lennon? Bono? Mother Teresa??
Naaaah, it was none other than Diane Eleftheriades, President of the nonprofit organization Bridges of Peace a local charity.. oh yeah, and did I mention that this amazing lady is also my sister? C’mon now don’t be too surprised.. the apple didn’t fall that far from the tree you know.. I’m charitable! I’m even on the Board of Directors. Our mission is to raise awareness for peace and love through music and the arts; and to help children whose lives are affected by war & poverty.
So I bet you’re wondering just how Jon Bon Jovi factors into all of this.. Well…
Jon Bon Jovi and his Backstage with JBJ fan club sponsored a Bridges of Peace – “Help a Child through a Soldier” Drive at his private fanclub concert which was held at the Starland Ballroom in his hometown of Sayreville, NJ.

In an effort to encourage the fans to donate an item, Jon Bon Jovi donated a personal item of his own to be raffled off to the winner. A black Dolce and Gabanna V neck shirt owned, worn and signed by the man himself. I’m not sniffing it I swear!  |

| People lined up in droves to give give give! The donated items will be shipped off to U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq. Who then in turn will give them to the children of the war torn country. “We look forward to the soldiers receiving the gifts and giving them to the children. We hope it brings them happiness, as I really feel all children deserve happiness in this life.” says Diane. Talk about a hard act to follow.. but I love her anyway.  |

The video above shows Diane Ele in action as Bridges of Peace kicks off a Toy Drive for all Sayreville Public Schools. Toys were sent to US soldiers to give to the children to Bridge the Peace. In addition to showing off that she is a super hot hottie.. It also shows just what an inspiration she truly is. |
What an awesome day so far! Everyone was working hard inside and out! And lookin sharp doin it I might add..
I was working my butt off to get the word out.. Not to mention the perks.. A treat indeed for lil Toni.. I got to see a real live Jon Bon Jovi sound check in action! Plus a free concert and a sweet privileged pass on my leg.. woohoo! Ok ok All that is well and good.. but in the end it’s really all about the children. Seriously I mean that. |

But nobody ever said that I couldn’t enjoy the show! And enjoy it I did! Along with some of the best fans that ever were! The crowd was pumped.. full of his true die hard fans. People literally flew in from around the world for this event! Jon was so on tonight, anyone could see he intended to please the crowd. And that he did.

Ok Wanted Dead or Alive.. finally Jon is smiling at me! Well, um he wasn’t actually smiling at me as he was with me or just sorta in my direction. But look at those pearly whites! ok ok I know it was just for a hot minute um er a few seconds before I lost focus.. Well.. he is a Humanitarian so give me a break ok! It was a long productive day.. |
Ahh family.. the life’s blood. Pictured above are me & my 2 amazing sisters (Diane & Marianne) along with Matt Bongiovi (Jon’s amazing brother) without whom of which all of this would not be possible. He is super sweet and smart for recognizing the importance of Diane’s vision and giving us the opportunity to fulfill it the way it was meant to be. hmm it seems awesomeness runs in families! |

Awsomeness does run in families! Thanks to Jon, Matt and my incredible sisters(all-blood and non blood) for making this a reality. Without every’s help…fans, Jon, Matt, our board and all involved this would not be possible.
